August 16, 2026 was Veterans Day and Gold Star Families Day at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield​.

  This annual event offered  programs, music, and a resource fair.

Events during the day included:

  • JROTC Competition

  • Welcome to Veterans Day: Lincoln Stage

  • Entertainment

  • JROTC Award Ceremony

  • Veterans Day Parade​

​Members from the Lincoln Land Chapter of MOAA provided assistance and presence at the event​​​
