ABOUT US

Lincoln Land Chapter, Military Officers Association of America was founded in the early 1970’s by a small group of military officers, and has been chartered as an affiliate member in 1973.

Since that date, the chapter has grown to over 120 active, guard, reserve, retired, and former military officers from all branches of the military and their surviving spouses.

Also eligible for membership are current or former members of the Coast Guard, Public Health Service and NOAA.

The chapter publishes a newsletter, The Salute, several weeks in advance of member meetings. Currently, Lincoln Land Chapter activities are held in the Springfield, Illinois area, and has members approximately within a 50-mile radius.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Lincoln Land Chapter is to keep its members informed on matters which affect the military community, encourage the education of America’s future leaders through support of a local and national scholarship program, and provide an opportunity for member social interaction through frequent, varied, and informative meetings.
