JROTC/ROTC MOAA AWARDS
April/May 2025
Lincoln Land MOAA Chapter now has a history of supporting the JROTC/ROTC program, transferred and sustained from the long-standing program sponsored by the former East Central Illinois MOAA Chapter. There have been various Chapter awards, scholarship endowments to Senior class JROTC cadets, and the MOAA medal to Junior class cadets for both JROTC and ROTC.

This year's 2025 awards were presented as follows:
ROTC AWARDS
University of Illinois:
Certificates, MOAA medals, and checks were presented on 24 April 2025 by Lincoln Land Chapter President Dave Knieriem, Major, USAF (Ret). ​

Major Dave Knieriem (USAF, Ret) was honored by a photo op with the Cadet Commander for AFROTC Detachment 190 for the Spring Semester, Cadet Jayden Forte.
She is proudly displaying her University Gold Medal Award of a Saber (This Award was not presented by MOAA).
As a graduate and previous Cadet Commander of the UIUC AFROTC Program, this was an Honor and Privilege to present awards to these great future military Leaders!
