The Gold Star Appreciation Dinner on November 19, 2022 could not have gone better!  Lincoln Land MOAA wants to thank Chris and her volunteers who assisted us in making this such a GREAT Event!!  Thanks to our Chapter members for their continued support of our Survivors and for the hospitality exhibited Saturday evening.

Many of the Gold Star and Survivor attendees were very pleased with the event and grateful for the support from the Chapter!! President Abraham Lincoln entertained and did a GREAT job!

 

Another BIG thank you to BG McDonough who expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices made by our service members and spoke of the continued support the Illinois National Guard provides Survivors.

Thanks to Colonel Bob Tyler who informed Survivors and attendees about the important work MOAA does to improve benefits for service members and their families. It was truly a spectacular evening! If you missed this event, I encourage you to plan on attending our 2023 event. I hope it will be bigger and better than this year.

This Special Event, co-sponsored by Survivor Outreach Services and Lincoln Land Chapter of MOAA, was to honor and recognize Gold Star Spouses with school-aged children and the adult children of the deceased service member residing in the Central Illinois area.  Lincoln Land Chapter of MOAA is proud to continue their support of the Gold Star Mission.  Funding for most of the event was provided through a MOAA National Community Outreach Grant.
